Simplify MIL STD 704 Testing with Pre-Written Test Sequences
Pacific Power Source provides a suite of test routines specifically designed to test AC products for compliance with Department of Defense Interface Standard MIL STD 704, “Aircraft Electric Power Characteristics”. This software option expands Pacific Power Source Inc.’s growing portfolio of Avionics Compliance Test options.
The pre-written test standard sequences can be selected as an integrated package running inside the Pacific Power Source’s SmartSource Suite. The Mil-Std-704 test standards apply to all military aircraft, including both fixed-wing and rotary. We offer test sequences for Revision A up to the current version, Revision F allowing customers to save time and increase productivity.
“Our Avionics Test offerings provide our customers with additional value from their AC Power Source investment. The pre-written test standards and superior user-friendly software will save users a considerable amount of setup and programming time when performing compliance tests.” according to Herman van Eijkelenburg, Product Director at Pacific Power Source.
MIL STD 704 Testing Includes Revision A
The MIL STD 704A option includes revision A test sequences for all AC and DC power groups. Revision A is an older version of this test requirement that still applies to much of the avionics equipment in use today. Revision A is more stringent in several aspects and covers fixed 400Hz AC power and 28V DC power.
Detailed test reports in Rich Text Format are generated automatically at the end of each test run. Test report templates can be customized with the Logos and company name as needed.
The MIL STD 704 test options are ideal for EMC Test Labs involved with defense avionics product certification and testing. Manufacturers of AC-powered avionics equipment that need to certify their products to this MIL standard can use this option to check for compliance during early stages of product development.
